I decided to create a neck wrap with the section of embellished felt that was left over from the skirt. A felt ball wrapped in a felt rope will act as a brooch to pin the scarf together.

Adding Swarovski crystals was important to this design to add to the ethereal quality of the skirt. The way the crystals naturally twinkle in the sunlight can also be compared to how people feel that they glimpse fairies at the bottom of the garden out if the corner of their eye.

This panel was made in the same way as the sample in the embellisher blog post earlier. The panel was initially twice the width but when it was pinned onto the model it looked too overpowering, so it was chopped in half.
